Step 1
For this tutorial we are going to the software Daz 3D, and use the model Victoria 4.2. We can get these from the site Daz3d.com. Daz 3D offers a huge range of models for Daz studio, Brice, Hexagon 2, Carrara 7 and more. Daz studio is a free piece of software, whereas the others go into thousands of dollars/pounds.
Start by making a new account at Daz3D.

Step 2
Download the software Daz studio, it is free and does not take long. You can download it from here. Follow through the installation and once it has installed, close the software because we need the models first.

Step 3
We need the free model Victoria 4.2, you have to add it into your shopping cart by clicking the button to the right labelled "add to cart". Below it is labelled "part 1". Secondly we then need to go up to top and open our shopping cart, click the "Cart" button as labelled below as "part 2". It will most probably ask you to enter you username and password for security reasons. Once loaded click the "check out" button.

Step 4
A order form will appear, make sure you select electronic postage if not you may be charged. As the item is free anyway you do not need to enter any coupons so skip this section. Click place my order at the bottom, normally you are given a link straight to the download and a email is sent to your inbox confirming your order.
If you just made the account you might have to wait a few hours, depending on how quick the system is.

Step 5
Go to your Available Downloads via your account. Download the correct package depending on your operating system. Download the Victoria 4.2 Base, do not download the power loader at the current time, it is not the same though I would download them all at some point, as they all make the package better.

Step 6
Open up Daz Studio. It should open up the Victoria 4.2 automatically in a beach scene.
If it doesn't open go File > New and then go content > Quick start > Scenes. Then select Quick start Scene from below, drag this into the scene.
Daz 3D allows us to change the background scene, pose, position and clothes of the model, so in the next few steps that's what we are going to do.

Step 7
You can download many clothes and different poses for this base, but to keep this nice and free we are simply going to use the content we are given.
First of all delete the netball at her feet, simply click on it and hit the delete key on your keyboard, do the same thing for the backdrop. Then under the content section click Poses > DAZ's Victoria 4 > General Poses, drag the poses V4 Contraposto 01 onto the base. It should move into this pose.

Step 8
Using the move and rotate tools as circled below, to move the camera around so we get more of her face. Move into a position you are happy with.

Step 9.
We can move most parts of her body as well, I would like her eyes to be looking right at you. So to do this we select the rotate tool at the top (Alt+Shift+R) click on the eyes and then like most 3D programs you get a circle and the X and Y coordinates. Move the eyes into a natural position.

Step 10.
I am happy with my model, I am purposely not adding a backdrop into the scene because I will use Photoshop to do this later on. I have a good computer with 8 GB of RAM and hope rendered large pictures, so my render is 3000 x 3505 even though I will not use this size document in Photoshop, I find it better to have too big than too small later on. To change your settings go Render > Render Settings, then once happy click "Render". Close DAZ Studio once you have finished.
The render is then ready to be used in photoshop.I will leave this bit to you!
It took me 2.02 minutes to render at these settings.
